A prerequisite for anyone who would like to take sewing construction workshops but hasn't yet sewn!
This fun class engages beginners in a maze sewing process to get used to the muscle memory required to run the machine while explaining the anatomy of the lock stitch and machine controls to analyze and problem solve inevitable sewing issues. We add a few easy steps to learn inverted construction, installing a zipper, and flipping a narrow hem for the strap so you can walk off with a choose-your-own-adventure custom zipper pouch, as either wristlet clutch, dopp kit, or fanny pack/cross body bag, using your choice of an incredible array of upholstery sample choices, all while studying sewing machine and stitch anatomy, trouble shooting, construction, and applications for various machine feet!
Perfect for newbies looking for a positive first-experience or learned sewers wanting to brush up! Bring your own machine, or use one of many on site. All materials included!
